October 2006 - One&Only Kanuhura, Maldives, announces the re-opening of two beautifully renovated Grand Beach Villas. Following a four-month revamp, the newly designed and extended villas feature private courtyards, two bedrooms with large en-suite open-air bathrooms with Jacuzzi bath, living room, large veranda and wide beachfront, air-conditioning, satellite television, DVD player, complimentary high-speed Broadband Internet connection with business facilities, espresso machine, private bar and 24-hour personal villa host service. - Natural elements such as bamboo blinds, stone, slate and wood in the indoor and open-air bathrooms, which retain their much-loved open-air showers, with carved terracotta fish showerheads, steps leading down to the lagoon, polished stone bathtubs, vanity areas with new pebble-shaped, sand-washed effect basins and honed Indian slate double vanity area tops.
