Explore the water

From whale-watching on your curated boat tour, to diving with sharks and watching penguins on parade, Cape Town is home to an assortment of exciting marine life adventures, ready for you to enjoy with family and friends.

Your whale tale

Our intimate whale-watching tours can cater for couples, family and friends, making it an exciting experience for animal lovers of all ages. Travelling from our private marina right outside the resort, your expert captain will guide you through the ocean, to where you’re most likely to spot whales off the seaside town of Hermanus, known for its whale-friendly waters.

Plan your Cape escape

Though present all year, the best time for whale-watching in Cape Town is between August and November when the majestic southern right whales migrate from Antarctica to warmer waters. Covered in barnacles, the protected species averages a sizeable 15-metres long. Enjoy seeing these gentle giants cut through the ocean waves and dramatically breach through the water’s surface, completely free in their natural environment.

Picnic at sea

Make a day of your tailored whale-watching cruise, and allow our Private Dining team to prepare a delicious picnic to enjoy on-board. Just let us know your group’s culinary preferences, and our experienced chefs will take care of all the details.

These charming local inhabitants are a delight to watch as they waddle up the soft white sands, and the beach’s namesake boulders.
