One&Only Cape Town is delighted to announce opening of a dedicated Halaal Kitchen, certified by the Islamic Council of South Africa.
This certification confirms that every item, ingredient, manufacturer, supplier, process and procedure at the resort has been audited by the Islamic Council of South Africa and is certified as Halaal, in accordance with Islamic principles, ethics, values and standards. Every process in the kitchen, from start to end, has complied with all the stringent procedures that are set out by the Islamic Council of South Africa.
The Halaal certified kitchen will now offer Halaal menus for weddings and events and will be managed to the highest standards so that our Muslim guests can have peace of mind. In addition to weddings and events guests will also be able to enjoy a delicious supplementary breakfast buffet at Reuben’s. Our Morning and Afternoon Tea selections served in Vista daily will be offered as Halaal, for guests wanting to enjoy an afternoon of luxury and delectable delights.
The One&Only Cape Town Halaal Certified Kitchen will be overseen by Chef Faiz. Accredited by the Islamic Council of South Africa, Chef Faiz is a graduate of the Cape Town Hotel School. Chef Faiz started his career at One&Only Cape Town under the guidance of Phil Carmichael at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze and later as Chef de Partie in Reuben Riffel’s Reubens.“
