One&Only Palmilla Celebrates The Festive Season With a Series of Culinary Events

Los Cabos, Mexico (23 October 2018)One&Only Palmilla, the secluded, ultra-luxury resort in Los Cabos, is raising the bar with one-of-a-kind epicurean holiday experiences. Situated at the edge of the Baja Peninsula alongside the Sea of Cortez, guests will be immersed in an array of memorable culinary events this festive season.

Start a new holiday tradition with the resort’s ‘Friendsgiving’ menu, created for groups of friends and families to enjoy together to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Taking place at the resort’s Agua by Larbi restaurant at the exclusive Chef Table, the Sun, Surf & Turf menu is available until 4 December, showcasing a Mexican-inspired Friendsgiving meal, while Turkey, Tequila & the Tropics offers a traditional roasted turkey dinner, available from 15 – 29 November. Both menus are artfully prepared by Chef Larbi Dahrouch and include hand-crafted cocktails by One&Only Palmilla’s renowned Mixologist, Philippe Zaigue and a bottle of Casa Dragones Tequila for the table. Available for a minimum of eight guests, prices for the Friendsgiving menus start at $185 per person.

From 30 November to 1 December, One&Only Palmilla welcomes back Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten for an exclusive culinary weekend. The festivities begin on Friday afternoon with a hands-on cooking class hosted by the world-renowned Chef, as he takes guests on a guided farm tour to showcase the bounty of fresh ingredients, expertly prepared with locally caught seafood from the Sea of Cortez. The following evening, Chef Jean-Georges will prepare and host a five-course dinner beautifully paired with wines from Merry Edwards Winery at SEARED, the resort’s signature steakhouse conceived in partnership with Chef Jean-Georges. Reservations for Chef Jean-Georges Culinary Weekend start from USD $1,010 (plus taxes) per night for two guests in a Premier Ocean Front Room, including daily breakfast, guided farm tour and cooking class with Chef Jean-Georges, and five-course dinner with wine-pairing at SEARED.

Throughout December, One&Only Palmilla will host special México Mágico Cultural Dinners at Breeze, the resort’s al fresco poolside restaurant. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and authentic Mexican dishes inspired by the culture and traditions of the country’s unique regions. The México Mágico Cultural Dinners showcase the best of Mexican cuisine for an elevated culinary experience, as guests take in the breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez.

Additional culinary activities taking place at the resort during the upcoming season include Giant Gingerbread House Decorating; artisanal Coffee & Chocolate tastings; Mexican Wine & Cheese Nights at the resort’s historic Chapel, with a large selection of wines and cheeses found throughout various regions of Mexico; Pre-Hispanic Tapas Bar; and a Maestro Tequilero Experience, where master tequileros teach guests the process behind creating some of the world’s most recognised tequilas.
