Signature Wildlife & Sundowners Tour
This sunset tour provides an introduction to the reserve, the resort’s native fauna, and the numerous opportunities for outdoor exploration of tracks and trails. Expect to see kangaroos, wallaroos, wallabies and many native birds on your guided tour, possibly even the resident wedge-tailed eagles.
Stargazing & campfire
The remote nature of the reserve provides an unforgettable opportunity to experience Australia’s spectacular night sky, providing a combination of scientific insights into visible planets, stars and even our nearest neighbouring galaxies, as well as a sample of mythology and star lore from around the world.
An opportunity to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow in the safe environment of our stunning archery range. Our talented Field Guides will offer tips so guests will be hitting bull’s eyes in no time. This activity is fun for all and we are able to accommodate a wide range of strengths and abilities with a range of bows.
Horse Trail Ride
Our leisurely riding trails include river crossings, scenic hills, open grasslands and native woodlands, often travelling peacefully through ‘mobs’ of kangaroos or wallaroos. Our horses are carefully selected for their calm temperaments and each rider will be matched with a horse suited to their experience and ability.
Mountain Bike Adventure
The 7,000-acre Wolgan Valley nature reserve provides exhilarating mountain bike trails suitable for various skill and fitness levels. A Field Guide will escort you into some of the lesser known ‘off track’ areas for a more challenging experience and can provide access to the best spots to view our unique native animals.
Colonial heritage tour
Departing from the 1832 Heritage Homestead and Kitchen Garden, Field Guides will walk you through this fascinating historic precinct, explaining the restoration required to bring the original homestead back to its former glory, sharing stories of the early Australian settlers, and visiting the fully functioning kitchen garden.
Budding artists will be taken to a breathtaking location on the property, where easels will be set up and painting equipment provided, along with detailed instructions from a local artist on how to capture the essence of the surrounding natural landscape.
Join a professional photographer and venture around the property to test your skills capturing pictures of stunning scenery. The photography expedition departs from the Main Homestead, and guests can learn how to best capture the landscape’s colours, contours and wildlife.
Welcome ‘Man From Snowy River’ Style
