A Capsule Collection Inspired by the Ultra-Luxury Resort Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley
Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, the ultra-luxury conservation resort, and luxury accessories brand State of Escape have announced a unique collaboration; an exclusive new capsule collection inspired by the pristine beauty of Australia’s Greater Blue Mountains.
Designed by State of Escape founders Brigitte MacGowan and Desley Maidment, the collection consists of three designs - two iconic Escape carryalls and one new Festival cross-body bag – rendered in khaki, pewter and bright ochre colourways that instantly evoke the soaring sandstone escarpments and stunning native bushlands that surround Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley. All three pieces are distinctive in design and purposeful in their creation, combining neoprene with sailing rope to produce the perfect travel companion. Remarkably versatile, each of the bags in the range also represents the ultimate day-to-day accessory. This combination of beauty and functionality is described by State of Escape’s designers as ‘beautility’.
“This exciting collaboration all started with a trip to Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley,” explains designer and State of Escape co-founder Brigitte MacGowan. “We wanted to celebrate Wolgan’s unmistakeable colour palette; from the soft greens of the bush to the ochre reflections that radiate off the mountains at dusk through to the silvery pewter palette of the mountains in the morning mist. The awe inspiring setting was the backdrop to an unforgettable stay, one that we wanted to capture in our collection.”
The Limited Edition ‘Wolgan Collection’ features State of Escape’s signature perforated neoprene with supporting sailing rope. Attention to detail during the design process and commitment to quality workmanship ensures that the bags are not only lightweight and washable, but are also effortlessly stylish.
“Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley and State of Escape share a passion for the magic of escapes, and the freedom to explore new worlds and experiences,” says General Manager James Wyndham. “It was such a pleasure to partner with designers Desley and Brigitte as they created this wonderful State of Escape Wolgan Collection.”
Nestled between two National Parks at the foot of towering cliffs, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is set within its own private conservation and wildlife reserve. The resort itself occupies just one percent of the total conservancy of 7,000 acres and features 40 luxury villas, each with its own indoor / outdoor swimming pool.
