Where is the best spot to watch the sunset?

I live in a small coastal town beside Herceg Novi called Igalo. Every morning I look up at a nearby hill, Ilinica, with a church on top. As I practice trail running, the hill is one of the challenges that I tackle to improve my skills. When you reach the peak you encounter a beautiful view of the entrance of Boka Bay and the coast stretching all the way to the Albanian border. On the other side you witness the beauty of the Adriatic Sea. That’s where you’ll see the best sunset as you can experience the sun dropping into the sea.

Are there any cultural destinations you’d recommend?

Herceg Novi is a town with a special kind of energy. It was always a place where artists could find inspiration and motivation – poets, painters, actors and musicians. If I had to mention just one, it would be our Nobel Prize for Literature winner Ivo Andric. He used to spend time in Herceg Novi, and the house where he lived in the Topla district has now been turned into a museum. As well as being a great writer, he was an excellent diplomat.
