South Africa’s wonders
A stunning view seen in its full glory from your luxury Cape Town suite or room; there’s still nothing like exploring the magnificent Table Mountain from up close.
Climb Table Mountain
Rising from the south of Cape Town, and stretching a full kilometre into the sky, this flat-topped mountain is a natural nirvana enjoyed by everyone from eco-enthusiasts and photographers, to rock-climbers and hikers. With several levels of difficulty, your Table Mountain and Lion’s Head guide will create a tailor-made itinerary to suit all ages and abilities. Reserve your room or suite at One&Only Cape Town now, and start envisioning your personalised Table Mountain experience.
Tailored hiking tours
Spend a day in the great outdoors, with our experienced guides tailoring your Table Mountain experience to your preferences. The quickest hiking route takes between one-and-a-half, to two hours to climb Table Mountain. But for those who like a scenic detour, your guide is happy to curate for you a specialised climb. These longer trails will reward your efforts with diverse terrain, not to mention the incredible flora and fauna throughout. A stunning natural site, Table Mountain National Park is known for its rich bio-diversity; it’s home to more than 1,500 species of plant and an array of unique wildlife from furry rock hyraxes and indigenous antelope, to rare frogs, tortoises, lizards, birds, and more.
Meet you at the top
A scenic ride on the cable car offers you a fresh perspective of the summit. Soak up incredible views over the city, out to Robben Island, and beyond – an awe-inspiring panorama of Cape Town and the Western Cape. You could even take part in a memorable mountain-top yoga class with one of our adventurous personal trainers.
Picnic with a view
Top off your one-of-a-kind Table Mountain experience with a sumptuous picnic prepared by our Private Dining team, and enjoy a glass of South Africa’s best wine while soaking in the Cape Winelands region from above.
Conquer Lion’s Head
Another of Cape Town’s impressive peaks, the curiously shaped Lion’s Head offers incredible 360-degree views. Take your time on Lion’s Head’s hiking trails, a gentler climb than its Table Mountain neighbour. Trekkers on a mission can scale it in under an hour, but we suggest you pause to enjoy the many look-outs over the city and ocean. You can even take on Lion’s Head by night, when hundreds gather to climb in the moonlight, to be rewarded with breathtaking views of the city illuminated below.
